North Dakota Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFI) met with bankers in Fargo, ND on July 18th, 2024 to present their organizations and express the economic impacts they are making on local communities. The round table gave bankers the opportunity to learn about each organization, ask questions, and network. Bankers were given important information on how it may be in their best interest to become strategic partners with these entities to employ cross-referrals and pool economic resources. Present were two certified CDFIs and two Native CDFIs that included the Native American Development Center - Mr. Brek Maxon; The Oyate' Fund - Mr. Mike McCafferty; Lewis & Clark Development Group - Mr. Brent Ekstrom; and Dakota Business Lending - Mr. Steve Dusek. Organizer and moderators for the meeting were Ms. Melissa Holman, Community Affairs Officer and Ms. Carla Tillmon, Community Affairs Specialist, both with the FDIC's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's.
