About Us
OUR HISTORY

We were incorporated on September 10, 2012, to serve Native Americans in North Dakota. The Native American Development Center (NADC) is a 501(c)3, Native Community Development Financial Institution (Native CDFI) governed by a nine-member, Native American board of directors that represent the tribal populations being served. Native CDFIs are the national catalyst for providing affordable loan products to Native Americans on or off the reservations. NADC builds consumer wealth and small businesses including Native Artist businesses throughout North Dakota. Our goal is to revitalize and develop our tribal constituents’ inherent entrepreneurial talent and desire to build credit wealth to obtain lifelong economical dreams.
CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE
NADC’s lending services are culturally responsive to building kinship relationships that may last a long time. If a client is deemed ineligible to take out a loan at the time of application, our loan staff will offer our clients various consumer financial services through our development division of NADC. NADC provides low-interest rates loans to Native Americans living on or off the reservations in North Dakota. Interested clients must qualify for loans through an underwriting process that takes place proceeding an application submission. See “How to Apply for a Loan” Section. If you are interested in financial services, please see the “How to Enroll” Section.

NADC launched the Native Community Loan Fund on November 26, 2019. What is a community loan fund? It is not a bank, credit union nor a community bank. The NADC Community Loan Fund is a revolving loan fund offering loan products and lines of credit to Native Americans living on and off tribal lands across North Dakota.
Please feel free to reach out to us to see if you qualify. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
